Credit Counseling and Debtor Education Classes

You must complete a Credit Counseling class before the filing of your bankruptcy case (but not more than 180 days prior to filing bankruptcy).  This class is usually one session and conducted over the phone or internet, but can be taken in person

You must take a Debtor Education (sometimes called Personal Financial Management) class after the filing of your bankruptcy case.

Here are some agencies that provide these classes.  There are a great many more agencies.  You can go to whomever you wish as long as they are approved by the government.
